Dear
[Alumni Name Goes Here],
Dr. Iadarola
has shared the form letter you signed expressing your view on the College's
decision not to renew John Dzik's annual contract for the 05/06 academic year.
I understand that you do not agree with the College on this issue. I am writing
to confirm that your name will be removed from the College's mailing list.
John Dzik has
been instrumental in building Cabrini College's Men's Basketball team into one
of the more successful Division III programs. His record of accomplishment is
impressive and we join him in celebrating the team's numerous conference and
district titles. We are aware that, during his time as coach, he has served as
a mentor to many of our student athletes and has a developed a loyal
following.
Due to
considerations of privacy and confidentiality, Cabrini has a policy of not
discussing the reasons for its personnel decisions. Nevertheless I want to
assure you that this decision came after thoughtful consideration by College
officials. The College, under Athletic Director Leslie Danehy's leadership,
remains committed to NCAA Division III athletics, and supports NCAA philosophy
that rigorous academic programs and participation in sports contribute
significantly to the student's overall collegiate experience.
Thank you for
taking the time to communicate your feelings about this issue. I know that you
would not have done so if you did not care deeply about Cabrini and we are
grateful for that concern. Although you are disappointed with Cabrini's
decision, we hope that your deeper affections for the College will lead you to
view this situation in perspective with the overall contribution of the College
to your life.
Please feel
free to contact me again if I can be of any assistance.
Sincerely,
Robin
