Hello,
My name is Katelyn Penrose. I am a freshman here at Cabrini and I
have been touched by Mr. Dzik. In the beginning of the year, I was a
transfer student from Millersville University. When I came to
Cabrini, I was very excited and anxious to play field hockey and
lacrosse. However, when I got here, it took about a week to get my
name in the clear due to the fact that I was going from a division
two school to three. I felt that the athletic staff was very slow to
trying to get this information cleared up. My coach, Jackie, went up
to Mr. Dzik and asked him if I would be able to play field hockey in
the fall and lacrosse in the spring. Mr. Dzik came up to me and told
me that I would be cleared then went to the Vice Athletic Director
and told him to get a move on clearing me. I felt that was such a
nice gesture since I was a freshmen that he did not even know. He
went out of his way to make sure that I would be cleared to play. If
it was not for him, then I may have not been able to play. Mr. Dzik
is a wonderful man that has done so many things for the athletic
program here at Cabrini for the past 25 years and now the freshmen
class will not be able to have that chance to have him a part of our
college experience. Please do no let us suffer by not having him
here at Cabrini College. Think about the students, athletes, alumni,
faculty, staff and students. Please keep John Dzik.
Thank you for your time,
Katelyn Penrose
