Ms. Moll,
Thank you for personally following up my phone call regarding the decision to
terminate Coach John Dzik.
I must express I am surprised and deeply sadden by the administration’s
decision. Equally disappointing is the seemingly careless manner in which the
decision was carried out, especially for an institution that promotes itself to
be a “family” atmosphere and for a man who has dedicated 25 years to the
institution. Instead, the administration has decided to cast away one of
Cabrini’s patriarchs in a way I find wholly dishonest and disrespectful.
Coach Dzik has touched the lives of so many students and alumni. I consider
myself among the lucky few that had the opportunity to play under his
leadership. My success today, in part, is attributed to what I learned from
Coach Dzik. And when I reflect back on my time at Cabrini, I find it impossible
not to think of him and what he has done for all students to make this a better
college.
With this letter I am formally submitting my letter of objection. I sincerely
hope the administration reconsiders and welcomes Coach Dzik back to the Cabrini
family, where he belongs. If Dzik is not reinstated, I wish to be removed from
all future communications from the College.
Sincerely,
Roman Gabriel
